Thanks for providing this information. I grew up in NY and this is on my bucket list. My very first marathon. A little scared but you are helping make it easier. I'm never really been athletic but as I celebrated my Golden year I wanted to set some goals and for it. Can't believe it will be here so soon. Hope to see you on the course.

Admin reply: Thank you! And Good Luck :)
Say Hi if you see me. You will recognize my t-shirt!

Thanks for acknowledging my comment. I do have one question. I know you recommend people staying near the end of the finish line but we needed something that costs much less. We have booked a nice B and B in Union City New Jersey right close to the subway which will take us across the river in the Lincoln tunnel. I was planning on taking the bus to the start but another runner said I would be better to take the ferry. What do you think?
(We had no problem using the subway system to get us to the buses in Boston and it was quite a distance)

Admin reply: I like the ferry more than the bus. But I really don't know what's the best from your location.
Have you thought about taking the but from New Jersey (Meadowlands)?

I just saw your website about the New York marathon for the first time and I am running New York for my one and only time in 2017.I really appreciate the detail of your information, how well organized it is and that it is from a runner's perspective. I especially liked reading the percentage of grades during the route. I had seen the elevation chart but I really needed the percentage of grade as I am from the flat Canadian prairies and I am very mindful of the hills.(had to really work on this when preparing for 2016 Boston marathon)The videos are great too! I will be looking at your website many times before November. thank you again!!

Admin reply: That's great to hear :) Good Luck and ask me if you have any questions :)
